Elizabeth Ayers is an experienced leader in community services with a substantial career in municipal government. Currently serving as the General Manager of Community Services for the City of Richmond since September 2008, Elizabeth oversees key areas including Parks, Recreation and Sport, Arts, Culture & Heritage, and the Richmond Public Library. Previous roles include Director of Recreation Services and Manager of Community Services, Planning & Projects, where strategic planning and community engagement were central. Before joining Richmond, Elizabeth managed recreation services in the City of Abbotsford and led community and leisure services in the City of Surrey. Educational achievements include a Master of Business Administration from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from The University of British Columbia.
