Shawna Lum-Thompson is an experienced professional in community health and wellness, currently serving as Program Lead for the City of Richmond since June 2015, where responsibilities include overseeing fitness operations in three aquatic centers and collaborating with various organizations on wellness initiatives. Shawna also teaches as an instructor at Vancouver Community College, developing and delivering courses in sport and recreation management. Previously held positions include Recreation Coordinator at The University of British Columbia, Recreation Manager at Simon Fraser University, and Executive Director at Twinbro, among others. With a B.Sc. in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University, Shawna has extensive experience in program development, community engagement, and leadership within the recreation sector.
