Tony Baird

Tony Baird is a seasoned environmental professional specializing in bushfire risk management and mitigation. Currently serving as the Senior Bushfire Risk Officer for the City of Rockingham since February 2021, Tony develops and implements comprehensive Bushfire Risk Management Plans and manages stakeholder relationships to reduce bushfire risks. Previously, Tony held the position of Bushfire Mitigation Officer at the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale, where responsibilities included fire control, risk assessments, and grant applications. With extensive experience at Western Power as a Bushfire Mitigation Strategist, Tony was involved in developing mitigation strategies and conducting assessments. Tony's career also includes environmental consulting through Tony Baird and Associates and environmental project management in various roles at the City of Fremantle. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in History from The University of Western Australia and a Master of Science in Environmental Offsets from Murdoch University.
