Johnny Gomez has extensive experience in both fire services and emergency medical operations. Currently serving as a Combination Building Inspector for the City of Rome Georgia and a Fire Training Lieutenant for the City of Cave Spring since May 2022, Johnny previously held numerous roles within the City of Milton Fire Department from April 2007 to July 2022, including Deputy Fire Marshal, Fire Investigator, and Captain of Support Services. From January 2011 to August 2017, Johnny worked as an Operations Supervisor for Puckett EMS, overseeing ground transport for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Rome is the largest city and the county seat of Floyd County, Georgia, United States. It is the principal city of the Rome, Georgia, Metropolitan Statistical Area, population 96,250 (2009), which encompasses all of Floyd County. At the 2010 census, the city itself had a total population of 36,303, and is the largest city in Northwest Georgia and the 19th largest city in the state.
