Alejandra Lopez has extensive experience in economic development and public administration, currently serving as the Assistant City Manager for the City of San Antonio since July 2017. Lopez has held multiple leadership roles within the City of San Antonio's Economic Development Department, including Director, Deputy Director, and Assistant Director, as well as an interim position as Chief Equity Officer. Prior to this, Lopez worked as Deputy Director in the Economic Development Department for the City of Austin from December 2015 to June 2017 and as Assistant Director and Economic Development Manager for the City of San Antonio from June 2011 to November 2015. Earlier in the career, Lopez served as Special Projects Manager and Contract Coordinator for the City of San Antonio and as Executive Director of the International Hispanic Network. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Public Administration from St. Mary's University, obtained between 2000 and 2002.
