Matthew Reyes

Matthew Reyes is a dedicated professional with a strong background in economic development and planning, currently serving as a Senior Economic Development Specialist for the City of San Antonio since April 2023. Prior to this role, Matthew worked as a Homeland Security Planner at the Alamo Area Council of Governments from October 2021 to April 2023. Matthew's academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Regional Planning from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Political Science from the University of North Texas. Additionally, Matthew has participated in study abroad programs at Vesalius College, focusing on Peace Studies and Political Science, and at Universidad de Belgrano, specializing in Latin American Studies. Matthew's experience is complemented by an earlier role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Cornell University and as an Undergraduate Fellow with the National Science Foundation.
