Sharon Clark is an experienced municipal clerk with a strong background in public service. Currently serving as Chief City Clerk for the City of San Gabriel since June 2018, Sharon holds the designation of California Professional Municipal Clerk and Master Municipal Clerk, as well as being a Notary. Prior to this role, Sharon was the Chief Deputy City Clerk for the City of Covina from September 2015 to June 2018 and served as Deputy City Clerk for the City of Glendora from November 2009 to September 2015, where Sharon was also a Certified Municipal Clerk and Notary. Sharon's diverse experience includes owning and instructing at Kim's Hapkido in San Dimas from 1998 to December 2015 and fulfilling bookkeeping responsibilities at Cornerstone Church of God from April 1987 to January 2015.

Home to a population of more than 42,000, San Gabriel is 4.09 square miles with a diverse population of Asian, Hispanic, Caucasian, and other ethnic groups. The City is governed by a five-member City Council whose members are elected by the citizens of San Gabriel. The City follows the general laws of the State of California and local laws and policies adopted by the City Council. Under the direction of the City Manager and the city management team, City employees see to it that these laws and policies are carried out in a courteous and professional manner.
