Colin Heyne

Colin Heyne serves as the Public Information Manager for the City of San José's Department of Transportation since December 2017, where responsibilities include co-leading the emergency public information office during the COVID-19 pandemic and overseeing a team of over 40 communications professionals. Previously, Colin held the role of Deputy Director at the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition from April 2009 to December 2017, focusing on program development, communications, and advocacy campaigns to promote cycling. Colin also has experience as an Office Manager at Applied Engineering and as a Gallery Assistant at Linda Jones Enterprises. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies with a focus on Latin America from San Jose State University, along with coursework in Environmental Studies at UC Santa Barbara.
