Cort Hitchens

Cort Hitchens is an experienced environmental planner and project manager currently employed by the City of San José since October 2021, specializing in environmental project management under CEQA for new developments in Silicon Valley, including writing EIRs, MNDs, and Exemptions. Prior to this role, Cort served as a Coastal Program Analyst II with the California Coastal Commission from October 2018 to October 2021, focusing on permitting and environmental compliance for coastal developments in San Diego. Additional experience includes positions as an Associate Transportation Planner and Transportation Planner at Caltrans from November 2016 to September 2018, along with earlier roles as an Office Coordinator at Accounting Principals and an intern at the Downtown San Diego Partnership. Cort holds a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration with a focus on City/Urban, Community, and Regional Planning from San Diego State University.
