Jim Bersig

Jim Bersig currently serves as the Assistant CIO for the City of San José, a position held since January 2023. Previously, Jim was the Interim CIO and IT Administrator for the City of Irvine from December 2018 to December 2022. Jim has extensive experience in higher education technology roles, including Director of Enrollment Management Technology and Director of Academic Technology at California State University-Los Angeles from July 2014 to May 2018, and Director of Administrative Information Systems at California State University-Dominguez Hills from February 2005 to June 2012. Additional experience includes consulting roles at PRJ Consulting, Inc., project management at the City of Los Angeles and PeopleSoft, Inc., as well as senior consulting at Claremont Technology Group/CBSI. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University-Sacramento.
