Lorena Gómez Ortiz

Lorena Gómez Ortiz is an experienced environmental professional currently serving as an Environmental Inspector for the City of San José since March 2024, where responsibilities include enforcing environmental regulations and conducting stormwater inspections. Previously, Lorena held roles such as Assistant Environmental Inspector, Principal Consultant and Owner at Solucio LLC, Management Consultant at PRONOIA COFFEE LAB S.A.S, and Lab Manager & Engineering Team Lead at Empresas Públicas de Medellín - EPM. In these capacities, Lorena has successfully managed compliance inspections, led knowledge transfer processes, provided operational guidance on coffee import requirements, and integrated multidisciplinary laboratories. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia and a Master of Engineering in Sustainability and Environmental Engineering from the University of Sydney.
