Ramses Madou

Ramses Madou is an accomplished professional in regional and urban planning, currently serving as a Lecturer at San Jose State University, teaching sustainable local transportation planning. Ramses holds leadership positions as Chair and Vice Chair of the Open Mobility Foundation and has been the Division Manager of Planning, Policy, and Sustainability at the City of San José since 2016, where responsibilities include implementing the Envision 2040 General Plan's transportation agenda. Previous roles at Stanford University spanned from Associate Director of Planning and Development to Senior Transportation Planner, focusing on transportation operations, policy development, and innovative technology programs. Ramses earned a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from San José State University and a Master's in Political Science from San Francisco State University, following an undergraduate degree in Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
