Ethan M.

Ethan M. is a Geographic Information System Specialist with experience at the City of San Luis Obispo since April 2021, previously serving as a GIS Technician. Ethan has worked as a NASA DEVELOP Intern, analyzing shoreline changes using Earth Observations and satellite imagery. As President of the Cal Poly GIS Club, Ethan significantly increased membership and engagement during a virtual school year. Additional roles include leading outdoor trips for Cal Poly's PolyEscapes program, assisting GIS courses as a Teacher Assistant, and creating applications and basemaps for the City of San Luis Obispo. Ethan's educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from California Polytechnic State University and ongoing graduate studies in M.S. Spatial Data Science at Penn State World Campus.
