Mark Brinkley is a seasoned Public Health Administrator with over 30 years of experience in public health and environmental services. Since October 1991, Mark has overseen operations for the City of San Marcos, managing various divisions such as Environmental Health, Solid Waste, and Animal Services. Key responsibilities include food protection, disaster response, and neighborhood cleanups. Prior to this role, Mark served as Chief Sanitarian and City Sanitarian, focusing on code enforcement, inspections, and compliance with public health regulations. Mark began their career as a County Sanitarian at Hays County Health Department, where responsibilities included inspections of food establishments and nuisance properties. Earlier experience includes serving as a Cement Service Supervisor for the Western Company of North America. Mark holds a Bachelor's degree in Municipal Government with a focus on Parks and Recreation from Texas Tech University.
