David Spiller

David Spiller is an experienced law enforcement professional currently serving as Police Chief for the City of San Rafael since March 2021. Spiller previously held the role of Police Chief in Pleasanton from August 2002 to November 2019 and served as Interim Police Chief for the City of Menlo Park from August 2020 to March 2021. In addition to law enforcement leadership, Spiller has been an Adjunct Professor at Las Positas College since January 2013 and worked as a Contractor for the California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation until April 2021. Spiller's extensive experience in police operations and investigations is complemented by advanced education, including a Master of Arts in Leadership Studies from Saint Mary's College of California and various certificates from law enforcement executive development programs.
