Armine Chaparyan, ICMA-CM, currently serves as the Community Development Director for the City of Santa Monica since February 2025. Prior experience includes the role of Interim Human Resources Director for the City of Camarillo Government from August 2024 to February 2025 and City Manager for the City of South Pasadena from June 2021 to July 2024. Additionally, Armine held positions as Assistant City Manager/Community Development Director for the City of San Gabriel, Housing & Community Preservation/Redevelopment Manager for the City of Santa Clarita, Senior Project Manager for the City of Ontario, Associate for the Rosenow Spevacek Group, and Analyst II for the City of West Covina's Community Development Commission. Earlier in the career, Armine worked as an Associate Governmental Program Analyst for the State of California's Office of Park Manager and as an Assistant at the University of California's Research Center. Education includes a Master of Public Administration from USC Sol Price School of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UCLA.
