Lauren Minarcik Shrum

Lauren Minarcik Shrum has a wide range of experience in the parks and recreation field. Lauren began their career as a Project Coordinator at Houston Wilderness in 2005 and then joined the San Antonio River Authority as a Park Project Specialist in 2006. In 2008, Lauren became the Principal of Texas Outdoors Consulting, where they worked until 2013. During this time, they also served as Park Manager for the City of Wimberley, Texas from 2013 to 2016. In 2016, Lauren took on the role of Assistant Director of Parks & Recreation for the City of Schertz, eventually being promoted to Director of Parks & Recreation in 2018. Additionally, they served as Co-Owner of Women Gone Wild Adventures from 2011 to 2018. Lauren's extensive background and expertise make their a valuable asset in the parks and recreation industry.

Lauren Minarcik Shrum obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation, Park, & Tourism Sciences from Texas A&M University, completing their studies between the years 2000 and 2004. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Recreation & Resource Planning from the same institution, which they successfully completed from 2004 to 2006.
