Jacob Johnson

Jacob Johnson is an experienced emergency management professional currently serving as the Emergency Manager for the City of Scottsdale since June 2022, with prior roles including Acting Emergency Manager and Emergency Management Coordinator. Johnson's career spans various positions in the U.S. Army, including Assistant Operations NCO and Senior Instructor/Writer at the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center, as well as roles in the 5th Special Forces Group and the 82nd Airborne Division. Additionally, Johnson served as a Park Ranger (Protection) with the National Park Service for a brief period. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Public Service and Public Policy with an emphasis on Emergency Management and Homeland Security from Arizona State University, an Associate of Science in Military Leadership from Rio Salado College, and completion of a Park Ranger Training Program at Northern Arizona University.
