Karen Zeller

Karen Zeller currently serves as a Recreation Leader for the City of Scottsdale since May 2023. Previously, Karen was an Activity Coordinator at HonorHealth from May 2022 to May 2023 and operated as a self-employed owner of The Activity Source, LLC from January 2010 to March 2020, a firm aimed at enhancing occupancy rates in Assisted Living Group Homes through tailored activity programs. Karen has held various positions in the field of recreation and activity coordination, including Chair of the Arizona Association of Activity Professionals from May 2012 to 2016, Trip Leader for Friends of Arizona Highways from 2009 to 2014, Life Enrichment Coordinator at Freedom Inn at Scottsdale from 2006 to 2008, and Volunteer Coordinator for Hospice of Arizona from 2005 to 2006. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Tourism, and Management from Arizona State University, completed from 2001 to 2003, and an earlier education at Timothy Christian High School (1985-1988). Currently residing in Vietnam, Karen shares insights through a blog.
