Mark Melnychenko

Mark Melnychenko currently serves as the Transportation and Streets Director for the City of Scottsdale since August 2020. Prior experience includes various leadership roles within the City of Phoenix Street Transportation Department from August 2013 to July 2020, where responsibilities involved overseeing the Programming and Project Delivery Division, long-term planning for the roadway network, and managing significant street improvement projects. Earlier in his career, Mark served as Principal Planner for the City of Phoenix Public Transit Department, overseeing service planning and facility development for one of the largest transit systems in the United States. Mark's professional background also includes a tenure as a Community Planner at BRW Inc., an interdisciplinary consulting firm. Academically, Mark holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Planning and a Bachelor’s degree in Design, both from Arizona State University.
