Christopher J. Hughes

Christopher J. Hughes is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in graphic design and media management. Currently serving as the Communications Director and ARPA Communication and Information Manager for the City of Scranton since July 2022, Christopher oversees communications related to American Rescue Plan funds. With a diverse freelance portfolio since 2017 at Rappid Development and as the founder of Peter Parker PA, Christopher specializes in graphic design focused on pop culture. Prior roles include Graphic Design and Video Producer at Lackawanna College, where significant achievements include rebranding the athletics team and launching a new website. Christopher also has a background in journalistic roles, having served as editor and reporter for various news organizations, contributing to content strategy and multimedia production. Christopher holds an Associate Degree in Communication Arts - Media Studies from Lackawanna College.
