Stephen Yamada-Heidner

Stephen Yamada-Heidner serves as the Executive Director of Architects Without Borders Seattle since January 2022 and provides consulting services in EDI and the 4Culture Network of Support for the City of Seattle starting in August 2025. Prior to these roles, Stephen Yamada-Heidner was a Principal and Consultant at Olson Kundig from August 1989 to January 2022. Educational qualifications include a Master of Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Psychology from UC Irvine. Additional coursework towards an Associate of Applied Arts in Music Performance was completed at Shoreline Community College.
