Amanda McKnight

Amanda McKnight is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Communications Manager for the City of Shakopee, MN since August 2021. Previous roles include Owner/Editor of Shakopean, Communications Coordinator at the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota, and reporter positions at Southwest News Media and Lillie Suburban Newspapers. Amanda also held editing and reporting roles at Boone Newspapers, State of Minnesota, and the Blooming Prairie Times. Education includes a B.A. in Journalism and Political Science from Bethel University, and Amanda is pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Communications at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
