Betsy Means-Davis

Betsy Means-Davis is an experienced educator and community leader, currently serving as a teacher at Waldron Elementary within the Shelby Eastern Schools since July 2024, and as a member of the Shelbyville City Council representing the Second Ward since August 2022. Previous teaching roles include positions at Shelbyville Middle School with Shelbyville Central Schools from January 2019 to July 2024, Greenfield Central Schools from September 2004 to January 2019, and Southwestern Consolidated School Corporation from August 2000 to May 2004. Additionally, Betsy served as President of Tri Kappa Shelbyville, a philanthropic organization, from September 2014 to June 2019. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Franklin College and multiple advanced degrees in education from Ball State University.
