Ariel Shiley

Ariel Shiley is an experienced educator and environmental scientist currently serving as a Math and Science Tutor at Bellingham Technical College since September 2024 and as a Teaching Assistant at Western Washington University since September 2022, where Ariel teaches various subjects including waves, tides, and marine processes. Previous roles include Adjunct Fisheries Instructor at Bellingham Technical College, Marine Ecology Intern with Snohomish County focused on marine resource projects, and Marine Debris Removal Crew Member with AmeriCorps. In academic research, Ariel supported studies on Pacific Herring embryos at Western Washington University and conducted research on oceanographic impacts at Everett Community College. Ariel holds a Master's degree in Environmental Science from Western Washington University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science with a Geology Minor.
