Dr. Grace Martin has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Dr. Grace is currently the Executive Director at March Joint Powers Authority since September 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Interim Director of Community Development at the City of South Gate starting from May 2021. In 2020, they were the Chief Executive Officer at MARS Bound, Inc., where they developed and managed a program to increase vocational training rates for high school graduates. From 2019 to 2021, Dr. Martin served as the Chief Executive Officer at Planet GW LLC, overseeing the design and construction of a vocational training center. Dr. Grace also provided land use entitlement and permitting consulting services for private businesses. In their previous roles, they served as the Vice Chair of Infrastructure & Site Development Pillar Committee at AMP SoCal, Director of Planning & Economic Development at the City of Perris, and Ambassador at the California Association of Local Economic Development (CALED). Dr. Martin's earlier experiences include serving as the Economic & Community Development Manager at March Joint Powers Authority and as an Urban & Regional Planner IV at the County of Riverside. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated leadership skills, strategic planning abilities, and a strong focus on economic development.

Dr. Grace Martin completed their education history with a Doctorate in Public Policy/Planning/Development from the University of Southern California in 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership/Management from the University of La Verne in 2010. Their undergraduate education includes a Bachelor's degree in Urban & Regional Planning (Civil Engineering Emphasis) from the University of Southern California in 1997.
