Mike Erickson

Mike Erickson is an experienced economic development professional currently serving as the Director of Economic Development for the City of St. Albert since April 2020. In this role, Mike leads efforts to enhance economic prosperity and financial sustainability by attracting and increasing the competitiveness of businesses. Prior to this position, Mike held the role of Manager of Investment Attraction & Growth at the City of Fort Saskatchewan from August 2014 to April 2020, where responsibilities included commercial and residential attraction and business support. Previous experience includes a role in Sponsorship & Community Investment at Strathcona County from 2007 to 2014, focusing on marketing and program implementation for municipal assets, and ownership of Axuate Services from 2001 to 2007, providing land maintenance services to various stakeholders. Mike holds degrees from the University of Alberta and the University of Waterloo.
