Sharon Hokanson Sphr, Shrm-Scp, Mshr

Sharon Hokanson, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, MSHR has over 20 years of experience in human resources. Sharon worked as a Human Resource Specialist at Davis Applied Technology College from January 1999 to July 2012. In this role, they were responsible for various HR tasks such as talent selection, recruitment, job audits, legal compliance, and conducting investigations. From November 2012 to August 2015, they served as the Director of Human Resources at Northland Pioneer College. Currently, they are working as the Human Resource Director at the City of St. George, a position they have held since August 2015.

Sharon Hokanson, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, MSHR, obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business with a Specialization in Human Resource Management from Capella University, where they studied from 2007 to 2010. In 2011 and 2012, Sharon attended Utah State University and earned a Master of Science in Human Resources (MSHR).

Additionally, Sharon holds several certifications. Sharon obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) in January 2010. In June 2015, they obtained the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Sharon also holds the Senior Certified Professional (SCP) certification from IPMA-HR, although the dates of obtaining this certification are not provided.
