Timothy Johansen

Timothy Johansen has a diverse range of work experience in various companies. Timothy started their career in 2003 as a Field Representative at Nielsen and worked there until 2011. Timothy then joined Southwest Applied Technology College as an Information Technology Coordinator from 2011 to 2014. Following that, they worked as a Network Technician II at Southern Utah University from 2014 to 2017. Timothy'smost recent role was as a Cyber Security Analyst at Las Vegas Sands Corp. from 2017 to 2020. Currently, they are serving as the Information Security Administrator - CISO at the City of St. George since December 2020.

Timothy Johansen began their education journey at Salt Lake Community College in 2003, where they pursued a degree in Communications Engineering Technology. Timothy studied there for five years, completing their Associate of Science degree in 2008.

Following this, Timothy attended ITT Technical Institute-Murray from 2005 to 2008, focusing on Communications Engineering Technology again. Timothy obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science degree during their time there.

Continuing their academic pursuits, Timothy attended Southern Utah University from 2014 to 2017. Timothy specialized in Management Information Systems, General, and successfully earned their Bachelor of Applied Science degree.

In addition to their formal education, Timothy Johansen also obtained certifications to enhance their professional skill set. Timothy achieved the GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) certification from GIAC Certifications in August 2020. Furthermore, in August 2019, Timothy obtained the CompTIA Security Analytics Professional - CSAP Stackable Certification from CompTIA.
