Jackie O'Brien

Jackie O'Brien is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in corporate communications and public relations. Currently serving as the Manager of Corporate Communications for the City of St. John's since July 2023, Jackie previously held significant roles including Communications and Public Relations Officer at the Multi-Materials Stewardship Board and Senior Marketing & Communications Officer within the same organization from March 2020 to July 2023. Prior experience includes positions such as Communications Specialist at the Registered Nurses' Union Newfoundland & Labrador and Senior Manager of Communications and Stewardship at the Health Care Foundation. Jackie also served in various capacities at Eastern Health, including Director of Corporate Communications (acting) and Media Relations Manager. Educational qualifications encompass a Master of Employment Relations from Memorial University, a postgraduate certificate in Public Relations from Humber College, and a BA in Political Science and Social Cultural Anthropology, along with Governmental Studies from Uppsala University.
