City of Summit
Adam Uanis has extensive experience in public safety and emergency services, currently serving as a Police Officer for the City of Summit since February 2020. Uanis held the position of President at Berkeley Heights Fire Department from February 2012 to October 2020 and worked at the Union County Sheriff's Office as a Sheriff's Officer from August 2016 to February 2020. Additional experience includes serving as a Dispatcher for the Berkeley Heights Police Department from June 2014 to January 2018 and as an HVAC Mechanic for Union County, New Jersey, from June 2013 to August 2016. Uanis is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Labor and Employment Relations at Rutgers University, expected to be completed in January 2024, and previously earned an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from UCNJ Union College of Union County, NJ, between 2014 and 2017.
