Erik Mahan

Erik Mahan has served as Chief of Police for the City of Sycamore since March 2025 and previously held the position of Deputy Chief for the City of St. Charles, Illinois, from January 1996 to March 2025. Erik Mahan's career in law enforcement began with the Army National Guard, where a rank of Sergeant was held from March 1988 to March 1997. Additionally, Erik Mahan worked as a Security Supervisor at Kane Security Co from May 1995 to December 1995. Erik Mahan holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration from Western Illinois University, which was earned between 1993 and 1995.
