Dionte Gavin

Dionte Gavin, MPA, CPM, FCRM, currently serves as Chief of Staff in the Office of the Mayor for the City of Tallahassee since January 2023, providing expert advisory support to the Mayor and overseeing day-to-day operations. Prior to this role, Dionte was the Director of Communications in the Office of Mayor John E. Dailey and served as the Senior Operations Director for Visit Tallahassee, focusing on administrative operations and tourism development. With extensive experience at the Leon County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller, Dionte held various positions including Financial Services Manager, where oversight of financial operations and contract management was key. Dionte's earlier career included roles in finance administration and records management, highlighting a strong background in public administration and finance. Educational credentials include a Master's Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor's Degree in International Affairs and Finance, both from Florida State University.
