Douglas C. Romig

Douglas C. Romig has a diverse work experience in various roles related to parks, recreation, community programs, and housing services. Douglas C. is currently serving as the Parks, Recreation & Community Programs Director at the City of Thornton, Colorado since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Deputy Director at Polk County Conservation from May 2015 to November 2021. From May 2011 to May 2015, they served as the Housing Services Director at the City of Des Moines. Before that, they held positions of Parks Manager and Recreation Manager at the City of Des Moines from November 1996 to May 2010.

Douglas C. Romig holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Community and Therapeutic Recreation from Iowa State University.
