Jay Michael Jaramillo, MPA, serves as a City Council Member for the City of Northglenn since December 2021 and as an Arts & Culture Specialist for the City of Thornton, Colorado, since May 2021. As the Founder of Art By Jay Michael J, Jaramillo is a Denver Metropolitan Area Muralist and Visual Artist with over 15 years of experience in public art creation and contract management. Previous roles include Guest Services Specialist for the City of Thornton, Event Coordinator at CHAC Gallery, Site Coordinator for the Adams 14 School District, and an intern/consultant for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Denver. Jaramillo's leadership experience is further complemented by a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and a Bachelor's degree in Arts & Letters with a focus on Chicana/o Studies and Entrepreneurship from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
