Nicholas Debono

Nicholas Debono currently serves as City Clerk and Deputy City Clerk for the City of Thorold, where responsibilities include legislative services, agenda compilation, and customer service program leadership. Prior to this role, Nicholas held various positions at the Ontario Ombudsman, including Manager of Early Resolutions, where duties involved reviewing complaints and advising resolution officers, as well as functions as an Investigator and Early Resolutions Officer. Nicholas's legal career includes experience as an Associate Lawyer at Axess Law, a Solo Practitioner, and an Associate at Sullivan Mahoney LLP, where litigation strategy and client representation were key focuses. Nicholas holds a Doctor of Law degree from the University of Ottawa and is pursuing a Municipal Administration Program through the Association of Municipal Managers, Clerks, and Treasurers of Ontario.
