Brittany Jones

Brittany Jones, Ph.D., serves as a Toledo City Councilmember since February 2024 and is the Founder and CEO of Growing Back To Your Roots, a research-focused initiative addressing food system inequities. With extensive experience in education, Brittany held roles as an instructor at The University of Toledo and contributed as a survey and evaluation analyst at United Way of Greater Toledo. Brittany's background includes significant achievements in various organizations, focusing on community programming, housing management, and nutrition advocacy. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Spatially-integrated Social Sciences from The University of Toledo, a Master's in Urban Planning from Wayne State University, and a Bachelor's in Journalism from The Ohio State University.
