Babar Jamil

Babar Jamil has extensive experience in critical infrastructure cyber security, currently serving as a Senior Specialist and Cyber Services Lead at the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer for the City of Toronto since December 2021. Prior to this role, Babar held various engineering positions at Aramco from March 2008 to August 2020, notably as Lead Project Engineer on major projects aimed at Saudi Arabia's energy diversification. Babar's earlier career includes significant contributions in control systems and instrumentation at Bantrel Co., Fluor Corporation, and other firms, culminating in expertise in SCADA systems, automation, and project management across multiple high-budget projects. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's and Master's degree from the University of Houston, further studies in artificial intelligence at the University of Oxford, IoT certification from Stanford University, and a course on digital twins from Coursera.
