Elise von Scheel

Elise von Scheel is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in media relations and issues management, currently serving as a Senior Communications Advisor for the City of Toronto since January 2024. Prior to this role, Elise worked as a Podcast Producer at CBC News from August 2021 to January 2024 and held various positions at CBC, including Provincial Affairs Reporter in Calgary and National Reporter and Producer in the Parliamentary Bureau. Elise also contributed as a Senior Editor and Content Manager at GoodGood Social Media and worked as a freelance journalist, alongside an internship at Postmedia Network Inc. and earlier experience as a Digital Content and Public Affairs Manager at University Hub and Administrative Assistant in the Parliament of Canada. Elise holds an Honours Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University.
