Maria J. B. Ferreira

Maria J. B. Ferreira has extensive experience in energy management and corporate real estate, currently serving as an Energy Management Analyst for the City of Toronto since June 2006. Previous roles include Research Analyst positions in the Corporate Real Estate Management and Environment & Climate Division, and an Administrative Support Assistant in Toronto Employment and Social Services. Maria has also worked as an Aquatic Coordinator and Lifeguard, and briefly served as a Census Enumerator for Statistics Canada. Earlier experience includes a role as a Transition Support Assistant at BMO/BcpBank Canada during a major acquisition. Maria holds a Certificate in Energy Management from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Portuguese Language & Literature from the University of Toronto, with ongoing education at the University of Lisbon.
