Nicholas Martell

Nicholas Martell is a seasoned professional in urban planning and education, currently serving as the Long-Range Planning Section Manager at the City of Tucson since September 2019. In this role, Nicholas collaborates on zoning amendments and community planning efforts. Previous positions include City Planner, where Nicholas reviewed zoning codes and development proposals, and Principal Planner/GIS Researcher at a major tech company, conducting extensive research on construction and infrastructure projects. Nicholas also has a diverse background in education, having taught science at multiple levels, designed curricula, and implemented sustainability programs. With a Master's Degree in Sustainable Communities from Northern Arizona University and a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Arizona, Nicholas combines expertise in planning, analysis, and education to contribute to community development and environmental stewardship.
