Kelly Von Holtz, MPA, CDP, serves as a City Council Member for the City of Tumwater since January 2024. In addition, Kelly serves as the Public Relations and Marketing Director at The Evergreen State College since March 2021, having previously held the title of Public Relations and Marketing Manager. Prior experience includes the role of Media Relations Manager for DSHS from October 2015 to March 2021, where Kelly led media relations for Behavioral Health and Economic Services. Additional roles include a Contributor/Analyst for Last Word on Sports, Communications Consultant for the Washington State Department of Health, and Public Information Officer for the Washington State Department of Transportation. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Homeland Security, both from Ashford University.

The City of Tumwater is located at the southern tip of Puget Sound. The rugged Olympic Mountains rise in the distance and Mount Rainier seems close enough to touch on a clear day. Tumwater is just south of our state capitol, the City of Olympia. The City of Tumwater is a full service City providing general government services including law enforcement, fire and emergency medical, municipal court services, utilities, planning, parks and recreation, human services, and community development.
