Amy Williams, J.D., SHRM-CP has a diverse work experience spanning from 2001 to present. Amy started their career as a Police Officer at the St. Louis County Police Department, where they completed the police academy and gained experience in emergency response and investigation. Amy later served as the Director of DC Citizen Corps in the Executive Office of the Mayor, where they managed over 3,000 volunteers and implemented emergency preparedness programs.
Amy then worked as the Chief of Staff at the DC Fire and EMS Department, overseeing administrative operations. Amy also served as the Executive Director of Serve DC - The Mayor's Office on Volunteerism, where they led volunteer programs and initiatives.
Moving into the federal government, Amy joined the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) as the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). Amy managed key operational functions and served as the Regional Administrative Officer in the Chicago Regional Office. During their time at CFPB, they also served as a Project Manager on the COO's Operational Communications team.
Amy later became the Executive Director/General Manager of the East Central Dispatch Center, where they managed an emergency communications center responsible for public safety dispatching in multiple cities. Amy then served as the Assistant Director at the St. Charles County Government, where they assisted in the planning, organizing, and streamlining of dispatch activities and operations.
Currently, Amy is the Human Resources Director at the City of University City, Missouri. In this role, they are responsible for developing HR strategies and overseeing various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, workforce development, and compliance.
Throughout their career, Amy has demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in managing diverse teams and implementing effective HR and emergency response programs.
Amy Williams, J.D., SHRM-CP completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Culver-Stockton College in 2001. Amy continued their education at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law (UDC Law) and obtained their Juris Doctor degree in Law in 2006. Prior to their college education, Amy attended Hazelwood Central from 1993 to 1997. The degree and field of study for this period are not specified.
