Jacolyn Thiel, P.E., currently serves as the Assistant City Manager, Public Service Director, and City Engineer for the City of Upper Arlington since September 2013, providing professional planning, design, and construction engineering services that support the City’s infrastructure systems. Previous roles include Deputy Director Public Service/City Engineer and City Engineer, where oversight of the Engineering Division focused on infrastructure and construction management. Prior experience includes tenure as Engineer II at the City of Columbus, managing traffic signal operations, and an Applications Engineer position at ADS, responsible for detention and retention system designs. Additional early career experience includes roles as an External Relations Assistant at Ohio University and an intern at the Indiana Department of Transportation. Jacolyn Thiel holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Ohio University, earned in 2005.
