Carla Boyd

Carla Boyd is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in higher education and equity initiatives. Currently serving as the Human Rights and Equity Officer for the City of Urbana, Illinois, since May 2021, Carla previously held various leadership positions at Danville Area Community College from 2008 to 2021, including Assistant Vice President for Student Services and Chief Diversity Officer. In these roles, Carla coordinated efforts to enhance diversity and inclusion while providing career services and support to students. Carla holds a Doctorate in Education Administration and Foundations from Illinois State University and a Master's in Educational Leadership and Administration from Eastern Illinois University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from PennWest Edinboro.
