Kathryn Hartnett

Kathryn Hartnett is an experienced legal professional currently serving as the Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Utica since January 2016, specializing in planning and zoning, urban and economic development, compliance, and municipal governance. Prior experience includes a Summer Judicial Internship at the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York, where legal research and writing were performed, as well as a Research Assistant role at the University at Buffalo, assisting in research related to government transparency and election law. Kathryn's earlier career involved direct care roles for individuals with developmental disabilities, including positions as Habilitation Coordinator, Residence Counselor, and Residence Manager. Kathryn holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from SUNY Institute of Technology.
