Rekha Nayar

Rekha Nayar, CPA has a diverse range of work experience. Rekha began their career as the Group Accounts Payable Manager at C. A. Sales & Distribution (Pty) Ltd, where they managed a team and oversaw the distribution of fast-moving consumer goods. Rekha then moved on to become an Accounting Consultant at Marin Housing Authority, where they worked on special accounting projects. Rekha then transitioned to Room to Read, a global organization focused on education, where they served as the Senior Manager of International Accounting, leading a team across 14 countries. Following this, they joined Williams-Sonoma, Inc. as the Manager of International Accounting, where they managed the international accounting team and oversaw the reconciliation process for various subsidiaries. Most recently, Rekha has been working for the City of Vallejo, California, where they started as the Deputy Director of Finance and later served as the Interim Director of Finance before taking on the role of Finance Director.

Rekha Nayar, CPA has obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. Rekha holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance from Savitribai Phule Pune University. Prior to their MBA, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics and Statistics from Fergusson College. Additionally, they have obtained an additional certification as an Advanced Open Water Diver from PADI.
