Brian Beck

Brian Beck is a Senior Engineer in the Engineering Department at the City of Vancouver, where responsibilities include leading strategic initiatives in circular economy, resource recovery, emergency planning, and sustainable transportation since October 2006. Previously, Brian served as Climate Program Manager and Low Carbon Vehicles Program Manager within the Sustainability Group, focusing on various environmental projects and electric vehicle policy development. Earlier career roles included Director of Operations at the China Canada Hydrogen Fuel Cell Coalition, Business Development Manager at Ballard Power Systems, Senior Telecom Sales Engineer at Cabletel Communications, Technical Services Manager at Pirelli Cables, and Fiber Optics Engineer at Nortel Networks. Brian holds a B.Sc.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.
