Amanda Mitchell

Amanda Mitchell is a seasoned Public Engagement Specialist with over a decade of experience at the City of Vancouver, focusing on public engagement processes related to Vancouver's Climate Emergency Action Plan. Key achievements include strategic oversight for numerous projects, such as the Healthy City Strategy and the Engaged City Task Force. Amanda also serves as a Public Engagement Trainer, having designed and delivered extensive training programs across Canada and Scandinavia. Previous roles include outreach coordination for Smart Growth BC, research and facilitation at the Design Centre for Sustainability, and environmental project coordination for the Department of National Defence. Amanda holds a Master of Advanced Studies in Architecture with a focus on green architecture from The University of British Columbia, as well as a B.Sc. in Environmental Science from the University of Guelph.
