Hamid Shayan

Hamid Shayan is an experienced urban designer and development planner, currently employed by the City of Vancouver since June 2019. Previously, Hamid held positions as an intern architect at EKISTICS and Billard Architecture, where responsibilities included leading design teams and coordinating with various stakeholders on residential, mixed-use, and institutional projects. Early career experiences include roles at KENNEDY and Tarjan Group, focusing on residential design across all project phases, and serving as a contract instructor at SAIT Polytechnic. Hamid’s extensive background also encompasses project management and design leadership at Jundishapur University and SHAYAN Design Office, along with a significant role in restoration projects at Pejvak Consultant Engineering. Hamid earned a Ph.D. in Architecture and a Master's in Cross-Cultural Studies from the University of Tehran.
